So, a couple of things and some context:

1. I tested this character against a few non-combat ones (such as Sandbag), and I also tested it against some A-Tier and S-Tier level characters as well.

2. I also ran them in a few ranking matches beginning with some C-Tier and B-Tier characters, followed by giving them some one-on-one matches against Dragon-Ken (by Kotori).

That said, let's talk gameplay.

Firstly, it is quite nice that this character has pre-set action buttons that essentially do a Hadouken and a Shoryuken without needing to do any quarter rotations, and instead all the combo efforts have been put into the rotations and button combinations.

In other words, this character has both the high-use value for beginners, while also being tech proficient for experts, allowing a good balance of tomfoolery and competitive efforts.

Secondly, I appreciate that when against himself, the "hadouken" (present toss) collides with another present toss. Its a small, but welcoming feature.

Thirdly, in my tests, I noticed that as an AI, it is quite aggressive and good at moving in close to lay out a steady combo, and to my complete surprise, even stood solid ground against Dragon-Ken. Of course, Dragon-Ken is obviously OP and way faster and far stronger, but seeing this character hold their own until literally being backed into a corner or combo-juggled, was quite unexpected.

So my hat is off to Dawn for making such a well-rounded character thus far. At the moment, I have not noticed any hitbox issues, nor combat issues, but I did notice that if corner shoved while blocking, if you hit him fast enough, he'll stop blocking and enter a stun state.

Might just be an effect of using Dragon-Ken, but all and all, this was an excellent creation and will remain in my roster for the forseeable future.

Seeing a source-accurate character was the last thing I would have expected from Dawn de Era, but he did it anyways - his kit might be simplistic, but is very unique and can be fun to play as, just like the game he comes from.
